SHARP OR FLAT? Seminar on music terminology, domain loss and LSP teaching

On Monday, 10 April 2017, the terminologist Henrik Nilsson from the Swedish Terminology Centre (TCN) will hold a workshop as part of the CONMUSTERM project at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. The topic of the workshop is terminology in higher education with an emphasis on problems regarding the introduction of new terms within LSP teaching. Although special attention will be paid to the music terminology, the seminar is intended to anyone interested in terminology, especially in the terminology teaching as part of LSP and higher education courses.

Henrik Nilsson (1970) has been a terminologist at the Swedish Terminology Centre (Terminologicentrum, TNC) since 1997. He participates in various activities in the centre, such as the Term-O-Stat project, and he is currently one of the organizers of the lexicological material for the national terminological database Rikstermbanken. He has been an active lecturer at several European institutions for terminology and the president of the European Association for Terminology (EAFT).

The workshop will be held in English on Monday, 10 April 2017, from 10:30 until 14:00 in the lecture room 339 (3rd floor) at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, Trg maršala Tita 12. The workshop is open for the public, and no reservation in advance is required.
