The Opening Ceremony on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Department of Musicology in Zagreb will take place at the Academy of Music on Monday, 23 November 2020.

Our distinguished professors emeriti, members of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, will give several talks about the beginnings of the Department in 1970s (in Croatian):

Academician Ivan Supičić: The establishment of the Department of Musicology at the Academy of Music in Zagreb – from personal memories to general context

Academician Koraljka Kos: How it began: refreshed memories about the foundation of the Department

Academician Stanislav Tuksar: The first decade of the Department of Musicology: 1970s as the first union of the musicological research and higher education in Croatia

Academician Nikša Gligo: 20th century music within the Musicology Study Program

The program will be accompanied by the performances of our dear colleagues, the harpsichordist, organist and music theorist, Ass. Prof. Pavao Mašić, the soprano, 5th year student Josipa Bilić (supervisor: Professor Lidija Horvat Dunjko), and Mario Čopor, Sen. Art. Coll. at the piano.
