CEEPUS Winter School “Winds of Central Europe” 2026
The Winter School “Winds of Central Europe” was designed for woodwind students from partner institutions within the CEEPUS network. The primary objective of the workshop was to familiarize students with the cultural heritage and the rich musical repertoire of Central Europe, spanning from the Baroque period to the 21st century, specifically composed for woodwind chamber ensembles.
The program brought together a total of 20 participants. Among the guest students (8) were representatives from higher music education institutions in Ljubljana, Budapest, Sarajevo, and Belgrade.
All participants completed an intensive program of 30 working hours, consisting of individual and group workshops, supporting lectures, and concerts. Mandatory activities, which included prior independent preparation by all participants, were valued at 2 ECTS credits.
The participants presented a part of their work to the public at the final concert on Friday, February 23, 2026. The program featured works by F. Lhotka, O. Messiaen, G. P. Telemann, A. Delgado, G. Gershwin, H. Lindholm, and D. Shostakovich for chamber ensembles and solo instruments.
Mentors were faculty members of the VII Department for Wind Instruments at the University of Zagreb Academy of Music: Prof. Davorin Brozić, Adj. Asst. Dunja Čolić-Keinänen, Asst.
