ENROLLMENT

General information on admissions to integrated bachelors and masters programmes – 1st year of study:
TESTING OF SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES – differs from department to department* – includes the following:

Composition harmony, counterpoint, theory, solfège, piano (candidates should provide scores of their own compositions)
Composition and Music Theory harmony, counterpoint, theory, solfège, piano
Musicology music history, European history and civilization, foreign language, harmony, counterpoint, theory, solfège, piano (for the double-major programme, candidates must also pass the admissions examination for the second major at the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences)
Conducting conducting, harmony, counterpoint, theory, solfège, relevant literature, piano, performance of scores and piano derivations
Voice voice, solfège, theory, piano
Instruments main instrument, solfège, theory
Music Pedagogy piece of writing, harmony, theory, solfège, piano (for the double-major programme, candidates must also pass the admissions examination for the second major at the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences)

The maximum amount of points in the admissions procedure is 1000.
The admissions examination can account for a maximum of 900 points, with the minimum threshold for admissions being 550 points.
High-school achievement can account for a maximum of 100 points. Candidates without high-school education can be admitted to the study programme in exceptional circumstances.


APPLICATION PROCEDURE – FIRST YEAR OF STUDIES

1. Registration in the www.postani-student.hr system as a Candidate who completed secondary education outside the Republic of Croatia (Završio sam srednje obrazovanje izvan RH i želim se registrirati) is MANDATORY. In case of problems with logging into the system, you should contact the Central Application Office (Središnji prijavni ured) at 00385 1 62 74 844 or e-address spu@azvo.hr

– in addition to registering in the system, it is necessary to send the necessary documentation to the Agency for Science and Higher Education (see www.studij.hr – All about applications – I graduated high school abroad. – Documents – Documentation for candidates applying only for study programs). The documentation must be sent no later than June 16, 2023.

– mandatory application for the procedure of additional knowledge, skills and abilities at the Academy of Music by sending:

a) Application form for the verification procedure/exam

b) confirmation of payment of the costs of the verification procedure in the amount of 39,82 euros to the IBAN HR50 23400091100159167 (purpose of payment “costs of the verification procedure”) The form and confirmation of payment must be sent to the e-mail address upisi@muza.hr by June 16, 2023. until 12 o’clock (noon / midday).

Candidates who did not register on time in the www.postani-student.hr system or send an application to the student service will not be able to access the verification process.

– A candidate who has completed secondary education outside the Republic of Croatia is obliged to start the process of recognition of foreign educational qualifications led by the Agency for Science and Higher Education. See more about it at www.studij.hr – All about applications – Applications for undergraduate study programs – Recognition of foreign high school qualifications (fill out the Application for recognition of foreign qualification (school diplomas)  and attach the necessary documentation).

2. All candidates also must fill in the application form and deliver it to the Music Academy Admissions Office (referada) either personally or via email (referada@muza.hr) / fax (+385 1 4872 380)

I. admissions period – summer :
Deadline for applications: June 16th 2023
Testing of specific knowledge, skills and competences: July 3rd-7th 2023
1st year enrollment: July 20th-21st 2023 (subject to change)

II. admissions period – autumn:
Deadline for applications: August 25th 2023
Testing of specific knowledge, skills and competences: September 4th – 9th 2023
1st year enrollment: September 20th 2023
