PREREQUISITES
All candidates are required to:
1. fill out the registration/register for Additional knowledge, skills and abilities assessment exam via national portal www.postani-student.hr;
2. fill out the Academy of Music entrance exam regestration form https://forms.gle/4ZAuUzJMYnMMVTMe7 until June 15th 2026 deadline
Additional knowledge, skills and abilities assessment exam will be held in the summer term from June 29th to July 02nd 2026 in accordance with the schedule published on June 26th 2026
Candidates who do not complete both steps of the application procedure by the specified deadline cannot take part in the assessment/enterance exam (Additional knowledge, skills and abilities assessment exam)

General information on admissions to integrated bachelors and masters programmes – 1st year of study:
TESTING OF SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES – differs from department to department* – includes the following:

| Composition and Music Theory | harmony, counterpoint, theory, solfège, piano |
| Musicology | music history, European history and civilization, foreign language, harmony, counterpoint, theory, solfège, piano (for the double-major programme, candidates must also pass the admissions examination for the second major at the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences) |
| Conducting | conducting, harmony, counterpoint, theory, solfège, relevant literature, piano, performance of scores and piano derivations |
| Voice | voice, solfège, theory, piano |
| Instruments | main instrument, solfège, theory |
| Music Pedagogy | piece of writing, harmony, theory, solfège, piano (for the double-major programme, candidates must also pass the admissions examination for the second major at the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences) |
The maximum amount of points in the admissions procedure is 1000.
The admissions examination can account for a maximum of 900 points, with the minimum threshold for admissions being 550 points.
High-school achievement can account for a maximum of 100 points. Candidates without high-school education can be admitted to the study programme in exceptional circumstances.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE – FIRST YEAR OF STUDIES
1. Registration in the www.postani-student.hr system as a Candidate who completed secondary education outside the Republic of Croatia (Završio sam srednje obrazovanje izvan RH i želim se registrirati) is MANDATORY.
